Senior members of the current Altius Private leadership team worked with our client, a government backed private Landlord, to deliver a large-scale residential portfolio assembly programme with measurable social and environmental impacts.
The primary aim was to grow and improve our client’s residential portfolio while returning properties to occupation quickly, safely and consistently. By bringing acquisition, refurbishment and programme oversight together, the team created a scalable delivery model that increased much needed housing availability while protecting the long-term performance of the portfolio.
The client was looking to rapidly identify and acquire suitable properties in a competitive market before transforming them into safe, compliant homes for residents. Each refurbishment had to meet strict standards while remaining within agreed budgets and reducing the time properties remained empty. Delivering this consistently each year required clear oversight of acquisitions, surveys, contractors, compliance and programme performance.
A dependable pipeline of quality homes was needed, without the burden of coordinating every stage separately. Suitable opportunities were assessed against the investment strategy and housing objectives, providing greater clarity before each purchasing decision. Following acquisition, detailed surveys established the required works, budgets and delivery programmes.
Stakeholders were coordinated through every stage of the process. Quality, cost and compliance were closely managed, allowing properties to be returned to occupation efficiently while maintaining consistent standards.
The programme successfully enabled our client to grow and improve its residential portfolio across a five-year span. Efficient handovers enabled homes to be made available sooner, while consistent refurbishment standards supported stronger asset performance and protected long-term value. For our client, the result was a reliable and scalable route from acquisition to occupation.
